Moon's Embrace

Daylight's end has come at last
The sun is tucked away,
No longer watching
No longer staring

The moon is coming out to see
What the day has left for her
And all she sees in her pale light
Are two lovers.

Two together,
Holding the warmth of the sun's light
In an embraceof souls
Extending beyond this plane.

Beauty radiates
Hearts  beat in time
Lovers intertwined
Minds are locked with each other

No words are spoken
No sound is made
Just the rythms of the hearts
Synchronized

In the cool embrace
Of the Lady Moon
She watches over them
Keeping them safe

A loving kiss,
A gentle carress,
A soft sigh,
A muted laugh.

How they were meant to be
Is how they are now
Under the starlit sky
In the pale light of the moon.
